Green-Teen Entrepreneurship Workshop at the GRAEDUCATION Girls Day in Thessaloniki
The GTL project was a guest at the second Girls Day – a future day for girls – of the German-Greek project GRAEDUCATION in Thessaloniki.
Around 70 girls between the ages of 9 and 16 had the opportunity to experiment with “green” technologies and learn about new career opportunities and forms of employment on Girls Day. They were able to discover their “green” skills and have developed a great interest in sustainable green issues.
GTL took the opportunity to offer its own workshop on the topic of “Green-Teen Entrepreneurship” to raise young girls’ awareness of eco-entrepreneurship at an early age and to foster creativity in this field.
In 4 workshops, each with 4-6 girls, we sensitized the girls to different “green” student companies that offer, for example, recycled products or locally grown food, because even small entrepreneurial projects and green student companies can have a big impact. Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to develop a “green” sales experience – they planned a sustainable student café for their school. The girls were very engaged and came up with many creative ideas that will be discussed with the school’s teachers in the future.
